The Dog Park

I heart the dog park. I like seeing how the owners resemble their dogs (I only wish that, like their dogs, each owner had 2 decide whether they like another owner by sniffing his/her ass). I like watching the entrance of a new dog: quick and running...or shy and deliberate? I like when the dogs are fighting/playing and the owners aren't sure whether to break it up or not. I like that one tiny little dog that's always trying to schtup a great dane...and the little kid who's walking by that goes, "Mommy, mommy, look! that little white one is on top of the other one!" I like when they just run around in circles as if they really need to get to right where they started -- as fast as possible. I like the one dog that just sits in the corner digging up dirt.

Iggy on NPR

Terry Gross interviewed Iggy Pop today on NPR. She asked him about his "interesting and very skinny body." He said it comes from a combination of Tai Chi and having a lot of sex. His advice on being a compelling performer: "Don't be human."
